I have a bad feeling about this… Sadly, this was wrong. SImilar even to what we experienced in Battlefront 2. But based on claims made by EA in regards to featuring local co-op and bots, we were given the impression that there would be a meaty co-op experience. We understood this wasn’t a sequel to a Battlefront 2. So while many were questioning a $60 price tag for a multiplayer game, our family was enthused about the ability to play Star Wars together again. And although we did learn that EA’s Battlefront wouldn’t have a single-player campaign, which was a bit of a let-down, we were ultimately happy to hear the game would feature “bots” and local co-op. That’s why when we heard the news of a new Star Wars Battlefront FINALLY looking as if it was going to be released, especially given the failed attempts over the years by Free Radical and Lucasarts, we were all pretty excited. You will find that it is you who are mistaken…about a great many things.

It was awesome! In fact, it was so awesome that my son and I recently returned to play Battlefront 2 again for a time. For weeks, we enjoyed sitting together on the couch playing through many diverse and memorably well-designed maps, with a robust compliment of “bots” to play against. You see, my wife and I are pretty big Star Wars fans, and we have very fond memories of playing Battlefront 2 back when it came out around 10 years ago. I picked up EA’s Star Wars Battlefront 3 a couple nights ago, and within an hour of playing the game, it began to sink in, this is not the game I was looking for…
